Day 3 – Forest Drive In Oregon

We spent 9 hours driving through national forests today. Some highlights include:

  • 2 hours peaceful drive, from Crater Lake National Park to Oakridge, then along an off the beaten path from Westfir to McKenzie Bridge (scenic creek, forest path and campgrounds).  A brief photo stop at Cougar Reservoir and Dam

  • Drive in regular thunderstorm and sunshine intervals, through Umpqua and Willamettle National Forests.  A brief photo stop at Diamond Lake

  • Scenic drive through Three Sisters, Bend to La Pine

  • Sunset photo stop in the woods of Deschutes National Forest

  • A nice and cozy Airbnb stay at a spacious house on the edge of Deschutes National Forest – we were told a meteor shower will occur at 2 – 4am.  I was very tempted but my willpower wasn’t strong enough to pull me out of bed.

Overall it was an eventful day for the mileage, but not so eventful for the photos.

Tip of the Day

I did manage to record a short video about my adobe lightroom retouching technique.  It is super simple and only takes 90 seconds!  (Note: you need high speed internet to see the high definition version of the video.  I apologize for not being able to provide audio explanation due to the lack of audio equipment and limited internet bandwidth during the trip.)
