Man of passion - old town of Palma de Mallorca

This picture is one of my personal favorites. I landed in Palma de Mallorca (Spain), the largest of the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea, after a longer than usual flight from Paris, where I lost my luggage from the connecting flight.

Disregard the logistic chaos, I dived into the maze of old town’s narrow streets, and was captivated by every nook and cranny of its ancient charm. I wasn’t following a specific path, but somehow the music of this street artist seemed to have led me into a new direction. It could be his deep voice, or his passion that came out of his performance, that deeply touched me. I stood there for quite a while...

Even long after the trip, every time I looked at this picture, I still felt something. I remembered dreaming to be an artist when I was seven. Drawing was my best escape from the most boring classes at school. As long as I had a pencil and paper, I drew. I created many portraits out of my own imagination. Those were the moments that I enjoyed the most, where nothing around the world could distract me.  Maybe there was a part of me craving for that moment when I took this picture.
