Kitchen 

Goal

  • Layout change. Current kitchen is in the hall way, need to move it to a dedicated room/space.

  • Increase storage. Current kitchen is small and has low cabinets with limited storage. Need to increase storage, with floor to ceiling cabinets and island.

  • Improve look. Currently very dated, need a fresh look.

  • The hallway where the current kitchen is located is very close to garage door, an area best dedicated to mud room and laundry

 
 

Style

  • Prefer modern farmhouse style: simple, clean with either white or natural wood color

  • Floor to ceiling cabinets to maximize storage

  • Sink in the north, stove in the east, refrigerator in the south, island facing east.

  • See below visual example of layout: left and middle example; below right need to flip the sink to the opposite side

Storage

  • Prefer floor to ceiling cabinets with counter tops for kitchen appliances

  • Prefer drawers under the counter for most occasions

  • Storage under the stairs (drawers or vertical pullout to be ideal)
