Bamboo chairs along the beach, Tanah Lot, Bali Indonesia

I was sitting on a hill to watch sunset at the Tanah Lot temple. These bamboo chairs reminded me of the basic life in China many years ago, where I grew up. I am glad these chairs still exist nowadays... at the background of a beautiful beach, they form a nice picture.

But this time… with a plan.

After the first hike, I already knew if we timed it right, the light at sunset could completely transform the scene.

So we returned.

We were supposed to do Kuliʻouʻou Ridge that day.
But between a wrong turn, muddy trails, and no signal… we lost time and had to regroup.

By the time we found each other again, it was too late to start
