Colorful indigenous village in Canaima

I took a small walk in this tiny village located in the Canaima National Park in Venezuela. While the park was Venezuela’s second largest, at the size of Belgium or Maryland, the village was tiny. However it was a must stop, after one hour 5-seater plane ride, on the way to Angel Falls, the highest waterfall in the world.

Although facilities were basic, the village was dotted with refreshing colors here and there. I walked around the village and saw many colorful clothes hanging like this. It reminded me of some rural (or even urban) parts of China decades ago, when life was simple. Many people had little choices, nor imagination to wear colorful clothes.

Nowadays, on the contrary, life could be as colorful as we dare to imagine, but all we want sometimes is to be simple.Venezuela
