Dreamy Coast

Thunderstorm in September was pretty rare in San Francisco. It happened the very Saturday I planned a road trip along the coast. Nevertheless, the drive turned out to be very pleasant as there were fewer people on the beach, and the flowers looked fresher from the rain. The sky turned into my favorite blue as it cleared up in the afternoon... I had a dozen of oysters at Point Reyes, and the rosemary bread in Russian River, followed by more elegant dishes and wine back in the city at BIX in the evening... Everything was superb - it was exactly how I’d like to celebrate a birthday!
