Landscape Photography Tips At Yosemite
I decided to wrap up my year with a landscape photography trip to Yosemite National Park with my good friend Urapa who visited from Thailand and wanted to see snow.
We both bought some new gear before the trip - she got the snow boots and a new lens, and I bought a new tripod (Mefoto Global Trotter) - see How to Choose A Tripod. So you know how excited we were!
It turned out that weather was quite "friendly" to us - there wasn't that much snow and it felt pretty warm. Nevertheless, we managed to drive 1 hour distance to the park valley every morning and set up our gear 20-30 minutes before sunrise.
I have to admit it was one of my most diligent landscape photo trips (given I am not an early riser). I was happy with the views I captured every morning and evening, and the little snow hike here and there. Of course this means more landscape photography tips as well.

I share the 5 storytelling elements you can find in almost every scene, helping you not only find subjects intentionally, but also creating photos that feel more immersive and alive, using our recent hike at Koko Crater Railway Trail in Hawaii as an example.
