2 Year Old vs 200 Million Year Old - At Petrified Forest National Park
We visited Petrified Forest National Park yesterday morning again, this time from the south entrance, where we could see more Petrified woods scattered around. It was probably too early to give a science lecture to our boys about the fossils, the badlands, etc. which I have to google myself to be honest. We tried in layman terms, but they just enjoyed running around.
We planned to hike the Blue Mesa trail, but soon found that we didn't dress our little guys enough layers.
For a moment, I thought we were back in Patagonia. The wind!!! Fortunately, our little guy didn't complain, and even walked in smile... leaving me horribly guilty, and proud.
From a photographer's perspective, by no way I'd rate the following picture as a good photo.
Timing was off - mid-day was my least favorite time to take pictures, no matter for people or landscape.
Lighting was off - causing uneven brightness and shadow.
I can be as critical as you want. However, I really like this photo, from a mother and wife's perspective.
This is my family, who's sharing the same journey with me, allowing me to pursue my biggest passion, even at times theirs could be in total contrast. For this, I'm forever thankful.
A photo collection of the snow scenes at Zion National Park, and our toddler’s favorite winter activities.
