Blue Ridge Parkway (Park 1) - Road Trip With Kids On The East Coast
Blue Ridge Parkway is America's longest linear park. It runs for 469 miles through 29 Virginia and North Carolina counties, linking Shenandoah National Park to Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
I did the southern part of the road trip by myself 7 years ago. As a family we briefly visited Shenandoah National Park after we came back from our 6-week trip in Europe last summer.
We decided to do a road trip over the Easter weekend, along the northern part of the parkway.
This is the first part of this trip, when we visited Massanutten water park, the first water park we have visited with our kids. Also featuring in the video you can find Natural Falls State Park, and Virginia Safari Park.
Other than the above, most of the time we were just happy roaming around the countryside and enjoying signs of spring.
